Lotus has introduced a new, range-topping version of its Emira sports car, with upgrades including increased engine power.
The Emira 420 Sport features a 2.0-litre, turbocharged engine producing 420PS, delivering acceleration from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 186mph. The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Bodywork changes include a new front splitter, revised front vents, extended side sills, larger air intakes, a lip spoiler and a louvred tailgate. Together, these are said to improve air flow to the radiators, brakes and exhaust valves.
The Emira 420 Sport also features a 5mm lower ride height, along with revised suspension settings and high-performance tyres, designed to enhance control and feedback.
Reduced weight and increased downforce available
When an optional Lightweight Handling Pack is specced, which includes two-way adjustable Multimatic dampers, a titanium exhaust, a lithium-ion battery, carbon fibre components and a dedicated Lotus Track Performance app, the Emira 420 Sport is said to benefit from a 25kg weight reduction and generate 25kg of additional downforce.
Another available option is an exterior Carbon Fibre Pack, which covers the front splitter, side sills, wheel arch vents, side pods, rear spoiler and diffuser surround.
Interior features include 12-way adjustable seats, new carbon fibre gearshift paddles and updated haptic controls.
The 420 Sport also sees the introduction of a removable tinted glass roof panel, which is now available across the full Emira range.
Two new interior option packs are available with the Emira 420 Sport. The Carbon Fibre Pack changes the driver display surround, centre steering wheel spoke and seat back log surround, while the Hand Painted Pack applies highlights in the Tangelo Orange launch colour to the centre console, steering wheel, gear lever inner and air vent surrounds.
The Emira 420 Sport is available to order now, priced from £105,900. The first customer deliveries are expected from August.
