e-Track key tracking integrated with vAutoStock

vAutoStock has announced the integration of vehicle key management system e-Track with its platform.

The vehicle preparation software provider is using a new in-house built direct API integration, which shows automatically updated real-time details when a key is moved or assigned to a holder.

e-Track uses electronic key cabinet systems which provide a live audit trail.

Dealers using vAutoStock will now be able to see a vehicle’s key status and location in the system with no manual input required.

Integration designed to save dealers time

Chris Barrett (pictured), managing director at vAutoStock, said: “Key position, holder and location details all sync without the need for data to be inputted into vAutoStock delivering greater efficiencies and oversight.

“Dealerships lose time every day as staff find answers to questions that shouldn’t need asking as they try and hunt down vehicles both through systems and by physically walking the site.

“Our integration means the answer is one click away in the vAutoStock system. The key status is shown alongside vehicle status, in one platform, updated live. There’s no manual reconciliation, no double-keying, no gap between what the key cabinet ‘knows’ and what your management system shows.”

Dealers already using both vAutoStock and e-Track are said to be able to set-up integration easily through e-Track’s support team. Dealers onboarded with either system are said to be able to find out more from their respective account manager.
