Lepas has revealed the full UK specification of its premium L6, with the new Chinese brand’s first all-electric SUV offering up to 279 miles of range and order books due to open early in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The C-segment model will be sold in Essence and Elevate trim levels, both using a 65kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a front-mounted 160kW (217PS) electric motor producing 275Nm of torque.
The L6 EV accelerates from 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 111mph. Its 120kW maximum DC charging rate will take the battery from 30% to 80% in approximately 22 minutes.
Speaking at the brand’s London launch event, Lepas UK managing director Ray Wang said the L6 EV would give the marque “a very strong starting point” in Britain.
“It combines an efficient powertrain with the space, comfort and technology that we know UK customers expect,” he said.
Both L6 EV versions will come with 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and a heated front windscreen.
The standard technology package includes a 13.2-inch central touchscreen, an 8.88-inch digital driver display, wireless smartphone charging and a ‘Hello Lepas’ voice assistant. A 540-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors and 22 advanced driver assistance functions are also included across the range.
Essence models have fabric upholstery, manually adjustable front seats and a six-speaker audio system. Elevate adds leather-effect upholstery, electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated front seats, four-way powered lumbar adjustment for the driver, a powered tailgate and an eight-speaker Sony audio system.
It also gains advanced and remote parking assistance, 256-colour ambient lighting and an air purification system.
Built on Lepas’s LEX electric vehicle platform, the L6 EV uses an integrated 12-in-1 electric drive system and Bosch IBP 2.0 braking technology. Lepas said the braking system had been developed to improve energy recovery and pedal feel while reducing the pitching sometimes associated with EVs.
The model has also undergone development work by Lepas’s European chassis team, with its suspension and handling calibrated for European roads.
The L6 EV will be covered by a seven-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty and an eight-year/100,000-mile high-voltage battery warranty. Roadside assistance will be provided for the first 12 months and renewed for up to seven years when scheduled servicing is carried out within the authorised network. Over-the-air software and firmware updates will also be supported.
Lepas targets 90 UK dealerships in 2027
Wang said the L6 EV would form part of a much broader model and retailer expansion with the planned launch of 10 new-energy vehicles spanning the A to E segments over the next two years, with the L8 PHEV, L6 EV and smaller L4 forming its initial three-model UK line-up.
The brand already has 60 dealerships across the UK and intends to increase this to 90 during 2027. Wang said Lepas was building its customer proposition around a three-tier retail experience, supported by centralised vehicle distribution, dedicated customer care, roadside assistance and an authorised repair network using trained technicians and genuine parts.
“These things may not be as exciting as unveiling a new car, but they are incredibly important,” he said. “If we want people to take a chance on a new brand, we have to earn the customer’s trust.”
He added: “This is our ambition for Lepas in the UK: a diverse range of cars, a strong national retail network and a business that puts its customers at the centre of everything we do.”
Wang also confirmed that Lepas had partnered with Black Horse to provide PCP finance, including a 1.9% APR launch incentive on the L8 PHEV range. Pricing for the L6 EV has yet to be announced.
