The UK’s Nuclear Institute (NI) and the Australian Nuclear Association (ANA) will now operate as a partnership in the hope to support better knowledge exchange.
NI members who live in the UK and ANA members living in Australia are eligible to join the organisation at no cost. The agreement is said allow to nuclear professionals to work internationally with ease.
The collaboration will also give members access to benefits including discounted event rates, better professional networks and new development opportunities in both countries.
Jordan Hall, NI member said: “Moving to Australia temporarily to work on a major project has been a hugely exciting opportunity.
“Reciprocal membership means I can stay connected with colleagues and activities in the UK while also becoming involved in the local Australian nuclear community.”
The ANA is the latest professional body to join the Nuclear Institute’s growing network of international partners.
Dr John Harries, Secretary of the ANA, said: “The Australian Nuclear Association welcomes this opportunity to link nuclear professionals who are members of the ANA and the NI with nuclear developments in the Australia and the UK.
“This agreement with the Nuclear Institute enhances our ability to connect professionals, share expertise, and strengthen the impact of nuclear science and technology.”
