Xpeng L03 confirmed for UK launch in 2027

Xpeng will introduce its new L03 fastback SUV coupé to the UK in 2027, with EV and ranger extender versions available.

The Chinese manufacturer unveiled the L03 simultaneously across 65 markets at an event in Munich, describing it as its most globally focused vehicle to date.

The L03 will be available as a fully electric model and as the L03 Power X, a range-extended EV in which a petrol engine generates electricity for the battery and electric motor.

Xpeng has not yet confirmed the battery capacities, motor outputs, driving ranges or exact powertrain line-up for UK models.

European versions are expected to include rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations.

The new L03 combines frameless doors and a low 0.228 drag coefficient with a 15.6-inch touchscreen, head-up display, lounge-style seating, 37 storage areas and a towing capacity of up to 1,500kg.

Its technology includes three Xpeng Turing AI chips, the company’s latest driver assistance system and an integrated navigation platform developed using Google Maps technology.

UK-specific power, range and battery figures have not yet been announced.

Xpeng expands UK dealer network

Xpeng entered the UK market in 2025, opening pre-sales in February before launching the G6 electric SUV in April.

The company subsequently outlined plans to double its UK dealership and aftersales network during 2026, with the aim of increasing national coverage and making the brand more accessible to customers.

Jonny Miller, sales director at Xpeng UK, said in a year-end update: “As we move into 2026, our focus is firmly on growth – the growth of our network, growth of our customer base, and growth of Xpeng’s presence on UK roads.”

Xpeng said more than 60,000 European households have bought one of its vehicles as it continues to expand across the region.

The company has established a research and development facility in Munich and plans further investment in European technology development, partnerships and charging infrastructure.

Xpeng also used the Munich event to outline plans beyond passenger cars.

It intends to introduce its Iron humanoid robot internationally from 2027 and begin operational testing of its Robotaxi platform in China, ahead of potential partnerships in other markets.
