Volkswagen has unveiled an updated version of its ID3 electric hatchback, now renamed the ID3 Neo, with a longer driving range and a series of technology and design upgrades.
Under WLTP testing, the ID3 Neo offers a range of up to 391 miles between charges, which Volkswagen attributes to a more efficient drive system.
The model will be available with power outputs of 170PS, 190PS and 231PS.
Battery options include 50kWh, 58kWh and 79kWh packs. The smaller batteries support charging speeds of up to 105kW, while the largest battery can charge at up to 183kW.
Software updates introduce one-pedal driving and vehicle-to-load functionality, allowing the car to supply up to 3.6kW of power to external devices.
The ID3 Neo also receives exterior styling revisions, including a redesigned front end with a continuous light strip and illuminated Volkswagen logo.

A new infotainment system includes a 12.9-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit display. An integrated app store will allow drivers to activate or extend functions digitally.
