Steven Eagell Group has promoted Irfan Munir to senior operations director and Anwar Ahmed to divisional director as it strengthens its leadership team across its Toyota and Lexus dealerships.

Both have progressed through the business, with Munir joining in 2004 and Ahmed beginning his Steven Eagell career in 2014.

Munir takes wider operations role

Munir joined the AM100 dealer group as a sales executive before progressing through sales controller, sales manager, general manager, divisional director and operations director positions.

In his expanded role, he will oversee the group’s operational performance and support its team of three operations directors.

Munir said: “I’m incredibly proud to take on this new role after more than two decades with Steven Eagell Group. My promotion reflects the opportunities the business creates for people who are willing to work hard and embrace challenges. I’m excited to support the next stage of the Group’s growth as we continue to adapt to changing market conditions and evolving customer demands.”

Ahmed takes five-centre division

Ahmed originally joined Steven Eagell Group as a senior sales executive and most recently worked as a general manager with responsibility for several dealerships.

As divisional director, he will oversee the group’s Toyota and Lexus centres in Bedford, Cambridge, Hatfield, Northampton and St Ives.

Ahmed said: “I’ve been fortunate to learn from some talented mentors and colleagues since I began my career at Steven Eagell Group. Each role has brought new challenges, but the focus has always been on doing the right thing for our colleagues and customers. I’m excited to begin this next chapter and continue supporting the success of our people and the wider business.”

The promotions come as Steven Eagell develops its employee value proposition, which is intended to improve retention, recruitment and the experience of its workforce.

Recent changes include higher basic salaries, enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and sick pay, revised working hours, long-service awards and increased annual leave. The dealer group has also launched its Excellence Awards to recognise employees across the business.

Sheraz Rashid, group operations director at Steven Eagell Group, said: “We’re extremely proud of our promote-from-within culture, which provides clear pathways for career development and progression. It’s particularly rewarding to once again make senior leadership appointments from within our own organisation, recognising the talent, commitment and capability that exists across our network.

“Irfan and Anwar have both demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout their careers and I would like to congratulate them on their well-deserved promotions. We wish them every success in their new roles.”
