The project marks Lancelot’s entry into the Luxembourgish market and represents another important step in the platform’s expansion across Western Europe. Through integrations with energy markets in Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and France, the solution will enable efficient cross-border scheduling and nomination processes for electricity and natural gas.
Enovos, Luxembourg’s largest electricity and natural gas supplier and the country’s largest renewable energy producer, is part of the Encevo Group. The company serves more than 940,000 delivery points across several European markets and employs more than 500 people. As part of its ongoing modernization of trading operations, the company was looking for a robust, future-proof solution capable of supporting electricity and gas scheduling and nomination processes across multiple European markets while providing the flexibility needed for future growth.
The contract was awarded following a public procurement process that ran from October 2025 to June 2026. Throughout the tender, Unicorn Market Systems demonstrated extensive expertise in energy trading processes, a proven track record of delivering similar projects, and the technological maturity of the Lancelot platform. A key milestone was the live solution demonstration, which showcased the platform’s robustness, readiness for complex market integrations, and ability to meet Enovos’ specific operational requirements.
“Winning the Enovos project is an important commercial achievement for us and further validates Lancelot’s competitiveness among Europe’s leading energy trading platforms. Building on our successful projects in Switzerland, this implementation demonstrates our ability to deliver advanced solutions for increasingly complex European energy markets,” said Jan Konrad, Chief Commercial Officer at Unicorn Systems group.
The implementation will be delivered in two phases. The first phase, covering electricity scheduling, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, followed by the natural gas implementation in mid-2027. As Enovos operates across multiple interconnected European energy markets, the project involves significantly greater complexity than a typical single-country deployment. Once completed, the solution will support scheduling and nomination processes across the energy markets of Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and France. This broad geographical scope makes it Lancelot’s most extensive scheduling implementation to date and further demonstrates the platform’s readiness to support the operational complexity of multinational energy companies.
“When selecting a new scheduling solution, we were looking for a reliable, long-term partner with a deep understanding of European energy trading and the ability to provide a platform that is robust today and ready for future market developments. Lancelot demonstrated strong capabilities, a solid understanding of our operational environment, and an approach that aligns well with our long-term objectives. We look forward to working together on the successful implementation of the project,” said Sebastian Himpler, Head of Energy Management at Enovos.
The project reflects the growing demand for integrated scheduling platforms capable of supporting increasingly interconnected European electricity and gas markets. For Unicorn Market Systems, it marks another important milestone in Lancelot’s expansion across Western Europe, following successful implementations in Switzerland. It also reinforces the company’s position among Europe’s leading providers of software solutions for energy trading.
