International Motors (IML) is to become the official UK distributor for Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer Foton, marking the brand’s entry into the UK market.
IML, which operates across the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe and already represents China’s Xpeng and GWM brands, plus Subaru, Mitsubishi and Isuzu, will oversee the import, distribution and aftersales support of Foton’s product range as it launches to UK customers in 2026.
William Brown, managing director at International Motors, said: “This new long-term agreement demonstrates IML’s ambition to seek alliances with forward-thinking partners that share the company’s vision and go-to-market strategy.”
The UK van market has recently seen the arrival of new brands from the Far East including Farizon, and South Korea’s Kia has also launched electric vans under the Kia PBV brand.
