Hyundai Ioniq 3 priced from £22,245 in the UK

Hyundai has opened reservations for the new Ioniq 3 all-electric hatchback with an entry price of £22,245, offering dealerships an aggressively priced B-segment model.

The Ioniq 3 range which the car maker says has generated its highest level of advance customer interest for a new model before going on sale starts at £22,245 for the Advance 42kWh, which has an expected range of 213 miles. The 61kWh Advance costs £25,745 and offers up to 308 miles, while Premium, Ultimate and N Line Evo versions are priced from £27,445, £29,945 and £31,945 respectively.

The Ioniq 3 is also the first Hyundai model offered in Europe with the company’s Android Automotive-based Pleos Connect infotainment system.

£1,500 grant bridge

Hyundai is also offering a £1,500 reservation saving on every 61kWh version while the manufacturer waits for the model’s Electric Car Grant assessment to be completed.

The company anticipates that all 61kWh variants will qualify for the £1,500 Band 2 grant and said that if the model become eligible, the the Hyundai saving will not be combined with the Government grant.

Four-trim line-up confirmed

Advance specification includes 16-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, front and rear parking sensors, a 12.9-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control and smart cruise control.

The 61kWh Premium starts at £27,445 before the reservation saving. It adds 17-inch alloy wheels, battery heating and pre-conditioning, a digital instrument display, wireless phone charging and electrically folding mirrors. Its expected range is 303 miles.

Ultimate versions are priced from £29,945 and gain matrix LED headlamps, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, rear air vents and Highway Drive Assist. Hyundai expects the model to cover up to 300 miles.

The range-topping N Line Evo costs £31,945 and combines sportier exterior styling with 19-inch wheels, a 14.6-inch infotainment display, surround-view cameras, remote parking assistance and Memory Reverse Assist. Its larger wheels reduce the expected range to 265 miles.

Memory Reverse Assist records the previous 50 metres of steering input to help the driver reverse out of confined spaces. Other available technology includes Plug & Charge, an integrated EV route planner, Hyundai Digital Key 2 and Vehicle-to-Load functionality.

Despite its compact dimensions, the five-seat hatchback provides 441 litres of total luggage capacity, including an underfloor storage compartment. 

Customers can now reserve the Ioniq 3 through Hyundai’s online configurator.
