A GT version of Aston Martin’s DBX luxury SUV will help its dealers target customers who prefer elegance to sportiness, according to the brand.

With a series of visual changes to the SUV, and the highest levels of comfort and luxury, the DBX GT offers a more discreet approach which downplays its outright performance, although beneath the bonnet is 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine, first introduced on DBX S, which provides 727PS power.

And like the DBX S, the DBX GT manages a 0-60mph time of 3.1 seconds and top speed remains at 193mph.

Aston Martin said that where its DBX S expresses sporting prowess through assertive features, the DBX GT delivers quiet luxury and elegance, through luxury detailing and high-quality materials and finishes.

Aston Martin chief executive Adrian Hallmark said: “DBX GT is aimed at customers who prefer assured elegance over sporting aggression and demand a higher degree of luxury. By refining the visual drama and elevating the interior with new elements of craftsmanship, the DBX GT delivers a true ultra-luxury experience; one which comes with no sacrifice in performance.”

Cabin ambience and noise reduction has been improved through targeted improvements throughout the body structure, sound deadening materials in door panels, front and rear wheel arch zones and the rear load space, alongside meticulous attention to cabin sealing and acoustic laminated rear side glass to minimise the transmission of unwanted sound from road, wind and traffic noise.

Deep pile carpets provide acoustic isolation and add a layer of opulence to the car.

DBX GT introduces a new individual rear seat layout, elevating the rear environment design and comfort while retaining the flexibility of 5-seat capability.

Two individually sculpted seating positions, with extended headrests and bolsters, provide enhanced comfort for rear occupants by increasing lateral support, making longer journeys more comfortable.

And the car has a standard panoramic glass roof which floods the cabin with light, making the rear environment an even more enjoyable place to be.

Aston Martin chief technology officer Ian Hoban added: “The challenge with DBX GT was achieving meaningful improvements in comfort and refinement in everyday use cases, but keeping the same class-leading reserves of performance and handling we have achieved with the DBX S. This was delivered via a combination of small but significant hardware upgrades together with a targeted suite of calibration changes to the chassis and powertrain.

“The results are highly satisfying; noticeable reduction in unwanted noise intrusion, greater isolation from road imperfections and a tangible uplift in refinement, but with the breathtaking performance, handling poise and driver connection for which the DBX is renowned.”

First deliveries of the new DBX GT are scheduled to begin at Aston Martin dealerships in Q4 2026.
