As demand for residential solar and battery storage continues to develop, installers are facing the challenge of providing flexible systems that are straightforward to install while giving households greater control over how they use and store energy.
Anker SOLIX is addressing these priorities with the Anker SOLIX XE, a next-generation all-in-one home energy storage system that brings the inverter, battery and the battery management system (BMS) together in a single unit.
The XE design provides a single platform that can be adapted to different household requirements.
Many products in this market still have a separate inverter, battery and BMS components, whereas the XE integrates everything. It combines a 7kWh battery with an integrated inverter, removing the external wiring and multi-component mounting associated with conventional split systems.
Within this, three inverter options – 5kW, 6kW and 8kW – are available and the concept makes things easy for installers, as the XE saves them precious time.
Anker SOLIX Backup Auto-Switch also improve efficiency for the installers. It supports standard DIN rail installation, reducing the space and wiring requirements associated with conventional automatic transfer switch installations.
Whole-home backup retrofitting is simple with the meter-level ATS installation and saves 99% space compared to traditional ATS and cuts installation time. This approach is designed to give installers greater flexibility without requiring a different system architecture for every project.
For installers, the combination of simplified hardware, scalable capacity, automated energy management and backup capability provides a single ecosystem designed around the practical requirements of residential solar and storage.
Each unit can be expanded to 42kWh using stackable battery modules, while up to three units can operate in parallel for a total system capacity of 126kWh.
Beyond installation, the XE is designed to help households make greater use of their stored energy. The system supports two charge-discharge cycles each day. During the first cycle, daytime solar generation can be stored for use during the evening peak. The battery can then charge again overnight when electricity prices are lower, providing energy for early-morning consumption.
The built-in AI Energy Management System can automatically manage charging and discharging based on household demand and dynamic electricity tariffs.
The system supports whole-home and partial backup, with up to 8kW of backup power from a single unit and up to 16kW when systems are configured in parallel.
Anker SOLIX will showcase the XE at Solar & Storage Live Birmingham, taking place at the NEC Birmingham from 22nd–24th September 2026, at Hall 20, Booth H44. Discover the system at the show to find out more about becoming an authorise installer.
