Vertu has combined its Mazda and Nissan operations in Sheffield, demonstrating how dealer groups can use existing premises to strengthen brand representation, retain expertise and prepare for new-model demand.
Mazda Sheffield has relocated from Penistone Road Trading Estate in Owlerton to Vertu Nissan Sheffield on Attercliffe Road, creating a dual-brand sales and aftersales operation.
The move follows Vertu’s acquisition of Burrows Motor Company in 2024, when Mazda Sheffield became part of the UK’s fourth-largest automotive retail group.
Two brands under one roof
Colleagues from the former Mazda premises have either transferred to the Attercliffe Road dealership or moved into other roles within Vertu.
The more central location will offer Mazda customers improved facilities, access to the manufacturer’s latest models and an extensive selection of used vehicles. Aftersales support will be provided for both Mazda and Nissan. Jamie Priestley, general manager of Vertu Nissan Sheffield, will take responsibility for both brands.
Priestley said: “We’re delighted to welcome Mazda Sheffield to its new home at Attercliffe Road, creating an enhanced environment for both existing and new Mazda customers.
“It’s an exciting time for this move to be taking place with the recent introduction of the award-winning Mazda6e and with the impending arrival of the Mazda CX-6e later in the year, both of which we expect to be hugely popular.
“We look forward to working with those colleagues who are moving over from the Penistone Road site, and with Mazda themselves, to ensure that customers from across Sheffield and the surrounding area continue to enjoy the highest levels of service when they pay us a visit.”
EV launches support the move
The relocation gives Vertu a larger platform from which to showcase Mazda’s expanding electric vehicle range, including the recently introduced Mazda6e and the CX-6e, which is due to arrive in the UK later in 2026.
Robert Forrester, chief executive of Vertu, said: “This relocation reflects our ongoing commitment to Mazda, and to customers across Sheffield and the wider region.
“Mazda continues to introduce exciting new models to the market, and this move provides us with an excellent platform from which to showcase those models to our customers while maintaining the levels of service that they have come to expect.
“With familiar faces making the move to the new location, customers will continue to receive the same high standards of service, while benefitting from improved facilities in a more central and accessible location.
“The new site brings the strengths of both Mazda and Nissan together under one roof, providing more choice for our customers and creating a strong future for the dealership.”
