Nissan has unveiled a new, fully electric version of its Juke small SUV, which will be produced at its UK factory in Sunderland.
The new, third-generation Juke, unveiled at Nissan’s Vision event at its global headquarters in Japan, is based on the CMF-EV platform, already in use with Nissan’s Leaf and Ariya EVs, as well as the Renault Megane E-Tech and Scenic E-Tech.

Like the Leaf, the new Juke will feature vehicle-to-grid charging capability, potentially allowing drivers to sell power from their car’s battery back to the grid at peak times.
The new Juke will join a Nissan EV line-up that also includes the Micra, and is set to be further augmented by an upcoming A-segment car.
Hybrid Juke to continue alongside EV
Nissan has also said that the existing hybrid Juke “will remain an important part of the line-up”.
The new Juke will be launched in Spring 2027, following a trial phase of production which Nissan says will start in Sunderland in the coming weeks. UK specs and prices are yet to be announced.
Massimiliano Messina, chairman of Nissan AMIEO, said: “Europe is central to Nissan’s electrification strategy, and we remain firmly committed to a fully electric future.
“With a rapidly expanding EV line-up, we are bringing greater choice and innovation to every segment, powered by our strong design, engineering and manufacturing footprint in the region.
“Together, this next generation of vehicles will accelerate our transition to zero-emission mobility.”
