Vertu Motors has expanded its partnership with Geely Auto by opening a second dealership in Glasgow.
The new site, Geely Glasgow Central, operates from the group’s Port Dundas Road location, a prominent dealership site visible to motorists travelling on the M8.
It follows the launch of Geely Glasgow South earlier this year in Darnley, which marked Vertu’s first representation of the Chinese brand in the UK.
The Glasgow Central dealership is undergoing a £425,000 upgrade to create a six-car showroom and a dedicated service reception.
Customers will be able to view the first two Geely models to arrive in the UK, the all-electric EX5 and the Starray EM-i Super Hybrid PHEV.
The EX5 is a five-seat SUV with a range of up to 267 miles and a starting price of just under £32,000, while the Starray EM-i offers up to 84 miles of electric range and starts from under £30,000.
The opening has created three new jobs, with further recruitment planned.

Robert Forrester, chief executive at Vertu Motors, added: “After the positive reaction to our first Geely site, we are delighted to now open the doors to customers at Geely Glasgow Central.
“Given the high-profile location of such a well-established site, this is the perfect location for our second Geely dealership and will help us to further showcase the brand to people both within Glasgow and further afield.”
Geely has already set up a new European R&D hub in a move that could accelerate UK launches and model localisation for its growing dealer network.
The Chinese brand has over 55 locations established in the UK and is continuing to expand its network ahead of expanding its model line-up further.
