Octopus Energy Generation has reached £8.5 billion in assets under management following a year of rapid expansion across global renewable energy markets.
The fund management team now operates a 5.7 GW portfolio spanning more than 400 sites across 21 countries, including solar, onshore and offshore wind, and battery storage. Together, these assets generate enough electricity to power more than 2.8 million homes each year.
In the past six months alone, the company has deployed £930m into clean energy projects worldwide, supporting continued growth across its international pipeline.
The announcement also includes Octopus’ appointment as investment manager for Renewable Power Capital’s 1 GW European portfolio, covering operational and construction-stage assets alongside a broader development pipeline.
The group’s flagship Sky fund is approaching £3 billion in committed capital, contributing to its wider suite of investment products focused on renewable infrastructure.
Since 2021, Octopus Energy Generation has nearly tripled its managed renewable assets and added nine institutional fund mandates across pension schemes, insurers and private wealth investors.
