Since its inception in 2022, north-east startup, Procure Smart, has built a dedicated and passionate team at its Sunderland HQ, with a combined experience in saving businesses time and money on their utilities and services of over a decade.

Fast growth saw the firm scale up, opening an office in Manchester in early 2025, followed shortly by a unique opportunity for sales staff to work from Dubai. Having passed the 50-colleague mark, the next phase of expansion is set to begin.

Following on from the launch of the first fully end-to-end online business energy switching tool, Switch Savvi, Procure Smart has plans for even more innovation in 2026. An all-new monitoring and tracking software, named SmartVu, will give customers a comprehensive yet straightforward view of their energy usage, giving them the ability to spot trends, improve efficiency and make further cost savings.

Procure Smart’s brand-new office in Newcastle city centre opens next month (May 2026), creating around 20 new jobs for the northeast in the first phase of recruitment.

With a world-class NPS score of 83, senior staff at Procure Smart plan to continue those high standards, building a Newcastle-based team of Sharp, Motivated, Adaptable, Reliable, Transparent colleagues headed up by Head of Sales, Michael Tansey, who has over 15 years of industry experience.

Michael said: “We cannot wait to get Procure Smart Newcastle off the ground in May and continue on the upward trajectory which has been driven by the team at our Sunderland HQ over the last 4 years.

“As a northeast lad, I’m in awe at the growth we are seeing in the region, and excited to be a part of it, building the first team to be based out of Newcastle City Centre for Procure Smart and bringing 20 new jobs to the area for individuals who live our SMART values every day.” If you are an experienced sales professional interested in these opportunities, reach out to [email protected] today.
