Geely will launch its EX2 electric supermini in the UK next month, priced from £20,990 and offering up to 214 miles of range.
The EX2 will compete with models including the Renault 5 and BYD Dolphin Surf. It becomes the third Geely model introduced in the UK after the electric EX5 SUV and Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid.

Three trim levels and two electric powertrains will be available.
Two battery options for Geely EX2
The entry-level EX2 Pro uses a 35kWh battery and an 81PS electric motor, providing a claimed range of up to 155 miles.
Max and Ultra versions have a larger 47kWh battery and a 115PS motor, increasing the claimed range to 214 miles.
All versions are rear-wheel drive and support DC rapid charging at up to 80kW. A 6.6kW onboard AC charger is fitted as standard.
The five-seat supermini has a 375-litre boot and a 70-litre front storage compartment.
Standard equipment across EX2 range
Standard equipment includes synthetic leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument display.
Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, keyless entry and start, privacy glass, LED daytime running lights and vehicle-to-load functionality are also included.
Safety equipment comprises seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assistance, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert and a driver monitoring system.
Ultra models add two-tone paint, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a powered tailgate.
They also include a 360-degree camera system with a transparent chassis view, a six-speaker audio system and direct tyre-pressure monitoring. A white interior can be specified for an additional £200.
