Mitsubishi has confirmed its new Outlander PHEV will be sold in the UK with an eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty covering both the vehicle and its battery.
The model is one of two vehicles marking Mitsubishi’s return to the UK market this summer, alongside the L200 pick-up.
The original Outlander PHEV was one of the first mass-market plug-in hybrids when it launched in 2014 and remained on sale until Mitsubishi exited the UK in 2021.
The new model will be offered with five or seven seats and uses a 2.4-litre petrol engine combined with front and rear electric motors. Total system output is more than 300PS, with a total driving range of more than 500 miles.
The Outlander PHEV is due to arrive in the UK this summer, with prices starting from £46,995.

Mitsubishi has already appointed its first dealer partners, with the brand on track for 60 dealerships across the UK before the relaunch of the Outlander PHEV and L200.
The first wave includes established partners such as Humphries & Parks in Maidstone, Adam Purves in Galashiels, Fields of Bromsgrove, Celtic Mitsubishi in Swansea, JT Hughes in Shrewsbury and Tweedmouth in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Those partners continued with Mitsubishi workshops, supported by IM Group, after Mitsubishi’s previous distributor Colt Car Company ceased importing its new cars in 2021.
