Hyundai has opened UK orders for its new Ioniq 3 electric compact hatchback and confirmed that the model is eligible for the full £3,750 Electric Car Grant from the UK Government.
With the grant applied, prices start at £18,495 for the model with the entry-level Advance trim level and 42kWh battery option.
The model is also available with a 61kWh battery (standard with all trims except Advance), offering a range of up to 308 miles, and with Premium, Ultimate and N Line Evo trim levels. Prices including the grant are £21,995 for a 61kWh Advance, £23,695 with Premium trim, £26,195 with Ultimate, and £28,195 with N Line Evo.
Hyundai says customers who had previously reserved an Ioniq 3 – the number of which exceeded that for any previous UK Hyundai launch – can now convert this into a full order and receive the grant instead of the previous £1,500 Hyundai Reservation Saving.

The model is available through Hyundai Finance from £355 per month for an Advance 61kWh, with a £355 customer deposit over 48 months, at 8.9% APR representative.
The Ioniq 3 is the first European Hyundai to feature the brand’s new Pleos Connect infotainment system, based on Android Automotive OS. It also features an efficiency-boosting, aerodynamic shape, with a drag coefficient of 0.263, and a 441-litre boot.
‘Extraordinary’ response to Ioniq 3
Ashley Andrew, president at Hyundai Motor UK, said: “The response to Ioniq 3 has been extraordinary, with more customers registering their interest before launch than for any new Hyundai we’ve introduced in the UK.
“Securing the full £3,750 Electric Car Grant across every version means we can now turn that interest into orders at a price that puts a genuinely spacious, long-range electric car within reach of far more drivers.
