A former Ford dealership in Wiltshire has been placed on the market for sale or rent, offering a potential turnkey opportunity for another dealership business.

The site in Westbury Leigh is close to the A350 and includes two showrooms, fitted workshops, MOT facilities and extensive forecourt and yard space.

The Wiltshire Times reports that Carter Jonas is marketing the property with the sale price and rental terms available on application.

Showrooms and workshops

The purpose-built dealership includes a main vehicle showroom, a separate secondary showroom and first-floor offices and staff facilities.

Its workshops extend to just over 411 sq m and are equipped with loading-door access to the front and side of the building, alongside a welfare area.

The site also features modern MOT facilities, which the agent said could make it suitable for immediate reuse by another dealer or vehicle repair business.

Alison Williams, partner at Carter Jonas, said: “Westbury Leigh offers a practical turnkey opportunity, with showroom space, fitted-out workshops, generous forecourt and yard areas, and the latest MOT facilities.

“This combination also makes it a highly versatile property, offering flexibility for a wide range of occupiers, from self-storage and destination retail to businesses seeking a well-located roadside showroom, while the workshops offer scope for storage or manufacturing.

“The property is available to rent as a whole on in part, or for sale as a whole with vacant possession.”

The property had previously secured planning consent for the demolition of the dealership and the construction of nine homes.

However, Carter Jonas said that consent had recently lapsed, leaving the site available for continued commercial use or potential redevelopment subject to fresh planning approval.

The dealership can be rented as a whole or in separate parts, while the freehold is also available with vacant possession.
