Automotive industry charity Ben has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of two directors to support its growth ambitions and expand its health and wellbeing services.
Luke Genevrier-Mallett has joined as director of fundraising and engagement, while Chris Easton has been appointed director of charitable impact.
The appointments form part of Ben’s strategy to increase awareness of its services, grow fundraising income and enhance support for current and former automotive workers and their families.

Fundraising and engagement focus
Genevrier-Mallett will lead Ben’s fundraising, marketing, brand and engagement activities, with responsibility for growing income and increasing the charity’s reach across the automotive sector.
He joins from a career spanning more than 20 years in the charity sector, including senior roles at Save the Children, the British Heart Foundation and Young Lives vs Cancer.
He has also served as chief executive of a regional health charity and most recently worked internationally as a charity consultant.
Genevrier-Mallett said: “Ben has a remarkable story to tell and a community of partners across the automotive industry who are ready to help tell it.
“Ben is here for everyone who works, or has worked, in the sector and their families, around four million people across the UK.
“My role is to bring income generation, marketing and engagement into closer alignment and make the case to the automotive industry that investing in Ben is investing in its own people.”
Strengthening charitable services
Easton will oversee Ben’s health and wellbeing services, providing strategic leadership across the charity’s support programmes.
He joins from NHS Charities Together, where he was director of strategy and impact, having previously held senior roles within NHS England and the wider health and social care sector.
Rachel Clift, chief executive of Ben, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Luke and Chris to Ben’s senior leadership team at such a critical stage in our evolution.
“They both bring exceptional experience, inspiring leadership and a shared commitment to improving the lives of people in our automotive family.”
Clift said Genevrier-Mallett would focus on growing Ben’s profile, partnerships and fundraising income, while Easton would strengthen the charity’s health and wellbeing services and support its long-term development.
Easton added: “It’s a privilege to join Ben and work alongside colleagues, partners and stakeholders to shape the future of our charitable services.
“I look forward to building on the charity’s outstanding work to ensure we continue evolving our services and making a meaningful difference to automotive people and their families.”
