Two company directors who used an Elgin car business to conceal a £1.5 million mail order drugs operation have each been jailed for nine years and five months.
Ben Terry, 35, and Mark Davidson, 36, ran the trafficking network from premises leased by Davidson for Eliv8 Details, a company established to maintain, repair and sell cars.
The pair admitted ten charges of being concerned in the supply of drugs between December 2024 and February 2025 at the High Court in Kilmarnock. Every charge was aggravated by a connection to serious organised crime.
Prosecutors said Terry, of Dundee, and Davidson, of Moray, worked with an organised crime group in England to supply customers throughout the UK.
Business concealed drugs trade
Orders from dealers and individual users were received through Telegram accounts before the drugs were prepared at the car unit and dispatched through al system for next day delivery. Customers paid in cash, by bank transfer or using Bitcoin.
Eliv8 Details never filed company accounts, while the volume of parcels being sent to and from the premises attracted the attention of Police Scotland and the National Crime Agency.
Royal Mail, Border Force and police intercepted multiple packages containing either drugs or cash as investigators built their case against the pair.
Sineidin Corrins, procurator fiscal at the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, said: “This was a coordinated effort to traffic significant quantities of illegal and harmful drugs throughout the UK from the Highlands.
“These men are now serving lengthy prison sentences thanks to an extensive police operation, working with COPFS and other partners, to investigate a network of drug supply.
“We are targeting all people who threaten communities across Scotland, whatever the methods or schemes organised criminal gangs develop to supply illegal drugs. With each case of this kind, we can help reduce the harm these drugs inflict on those communities.”
Raids uncover £1.5m haul
National Crime Agency officers raided premises in Tower Place, Elgin, Garmouth and Mosstodloch in February 2025.
The searches uncovered MDMA with an estimated street value of £715,000 and cocaine valued at £303,000.
Officers also recovered 47,302 LSD tabs, ketamine, DMT, mephedrone and thousands of diazepam tablets. The total haul was valued at approximately £1.5m.
Terry and Davidson will now face confiscation proceedings under proceeds of crime legislation as prosecutors seek to recover money obtained through the operation.
