Oil prices have surged up once again and have after months once again hit $100 (£73.78) per barrel, as Brent crude rose by 2.99 to above $100.91
The spike follows the attacks on Saudi Arabian energy facilities by Yemen’s Iran-aligned militant group Houthi.
The strikes earlier this week wounded 73 people in the world’s leading oil exporting country. It exports 400,000 barrels of oil per day.
The recent flare up in Saudi Arabia follows high oil prices due to the ongoing tensions between the US, Israel and Iran.
High oil prices can contribute to inflation and have knock on affects on supply and transportation.
