International Motors has appointed Alex Sheward to the newly created role of head of sales for Mitsubishi Motors in the UK ahead of the launch of the new Outlander PHEV and L200 Series 7 pick-up in May.
Sheward began his automotive career at International Motors in 2004 and has worked in a range of roles across the business and its brand portfolio.
For the last decade he has worked exclusively for Subaru UK & Ireland, first as dealer relationship manager and then as national sales manager from 2019.
Mitsubishi sales move
Discussing his new role, Sheward said, “Having spent my whole career in the automotive Industry, the opportunity to lead national sales for a brand with the legacy and dedication that Mitsubishi Motors has was compelling. I look forward to helping to shape a successful sales dealer network and building on the encouraging reception the brand has received.”

Network build-out
Mitsubishi Motors in the UK recently announced the next step in establishing its new UK sales dealer network.
The company is building a 60-strong dealer partner base to support sales of the all-new Outlander PHEV and latest-generation L200 Series 7 double-cab pickup.
The addition of new vehicle sales dealers, combined with the existing aftersales network, is intended to provide customer support across key regions throughout the UK.
International Motors’ current UK brand portfolio includes Subaru, Isuzu, Xpeng, GWM and Mitsubishi Motors.
