The National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) is encouraging dealers across the UK to participate in its latest Dealer Attitude Survey (DAS), which is now open for responses.

The DAS remains the only survey in the UK automotive industry that is non-profit making, fully independent of any manufacturer or supplier involvement, and entirely anonymous.

Its findings and emerging trends continue to attract significant interest from manufacturers, providing a platform for franchised dealers to express their views and influence the direction of the sector.

With the industry facing ongoing economic and operational challenges, the NFDA said dealer feedback is increasingly important.

A high response rate is needed to ensure that the views of the dealer network are accurately represented, with stronger participation expected to increase the impact of the sector’s collective voice.

Sue Robinson, chief executive of the NFDA, said: “The DAS is a vital tool in ensuring that the voice of franchised dealers is clearly heard across the automotive sector.

“Its independence and anonymity give dealers the confidence to provide honest and constructive feedback, which is increasingly valued by manufacturers.

“Whether you are a long-standing contributor or taking part for the first time, we strongly encourage all dealers to get involved.

“Every response makes a difference, and new participants are key to ensuring the survey reflects the full breadth of experiences across our network.

“The higher the response rate, the more powerful and representative the results will be in shaping future conversations and driving positive change for our industry.”

Dealers wishing to take part are reminded to complete and return their questionnaires by March 30, 2026.
