Warranty Solutions Group has expanded its automotive telesales operation as it responds to rising dealer demand and accelerates plans to grow in Europe.

The business has created a dedicated telesales team of seven specialists, with plans to increase this to 20, following strong growth in warranty sales and increased demand from dealers for specialist upsell support.

WSG said warranty sales have risen by almost 50% year-on-year, reflecting continued appetite from dealers and consumers to protect vehicles against rising repair and ownership costs.

The expanded telesales team focuses exclusively on warranty upsell, providing additional support where dealers want help managing warranty conversations.

Some dealers are choosing to refer customers directly to WSG, allowing the telesales team to manage the upsell process on their behalf while dealership staff remain focused on vehicle sales.

Expanding in Europe

Alongside the UK investment, WSG is accelerating its expansion into Europe, with Spain identified as the first priority market.

The move has been driven by existing UK dealer clients that have relocated or expanded their operations overseas.

John Colinswood, chief executive of Warranty Solutions Group, said: “We’ve seen warranty sales grow phenomenally year on year, which is a clear signal that both dealers and consumers recognise the value of protection in the current market.

“Expanding our telesales team allows us to support that demand more effectively and build the infrastructure needed to scale the business.

“Using the same customer-first approach that has underpinned our UK growth translates well internationally, particularly as consumers across markets look to protect their vehicle investment.”

Colinswood said WSG is also launching a direct sales model designed to complement dealer operations.

He added: “Where a dealer refers a customer to us, our team manages the warranty upsell on their behalf, with a clear referral-based commission structure that ensures dealers benefit from every successful sale.”

WSG said its European expansion will be based on replicating the operational standards, service quality and compliance frameworks that have supported its UK growth, as it looks to support manufacturer partners and pan-European dealer groups over the longer term.
