VWFS UK appoints product and change delivery director

Volkswagen Financial Services UK has appointed Mark Pain as product and change delivery director to lead its product delivery and transformation.The move brings product delivery, change and transformation under a single leadership structure as VWFS UK seeks to accelerate its customer and product transformation programme.

The newly expanded role sits within VWFS’s Customer and Product Transformation function, which has been created ‘to bring together large programmes, time-boxed projects and long-lived product teams under one operating model’.

VWFS said the structure is designed to align all change and delivery activity more closely to customer outcomes and operational effectiveness, ‘supporting more seamless experiences for drivers, retailers and partners’.

Pain has almost 30 years’ experience across the automotive and financial services sectors and joined VWFS in 2010.

Before that, he held a range of roles at Mobilize Financial Services as well as positions in fleet management and general insurance.

During his 15 years at VWFS, he has held senior leadership roles across IT, digital and business change.

Pain will be supported by a new leadership team including Steve Charters as head of ways of working, and Katie Warrington and Jack Baker as heads of product delivery.
