Utility Bidder has appointed Simon Drakeford as its new CEO as the company enters a major phase of digital expansion.
The transition follows the passing of former CEO Chris Shaw, whose leadership helped build the broker into a trusted partner for more than 90,000 UK businesses.
Simon brings more than 20 years of experience across technology, media, communications and business services. He previously held senior roles at Orange and T-Mobile where he delivered over £100 million in online revenue and secured significant operational savings.
Chris Shaw passed after a battle with cancer and at last week’s TELCA a new award was launched in his honour, see below.
Founded in 2009, Utility Bidder now plans to scale its digital platforms, enhance customer self-serve tools and strengthen supplier partnerships.
Simon said he is committed to expanding digital capabilities and delivering a more intuitive experience for customers of every size.
