TMS Motor Group has celebrated Suki Kandola who is retiring from its Volvo Coventry location after a 46-year career with the Swedish brand.
Kandola began her career in 1980 at Volvo Warwick as a parts advisor before moving into the service department, where she remained for the rest of her career.
After five years in parts, she was asked to assist the service team on a temporary basis, a move that became permanent.
Over the following decades she built long-standing relationships with customers across Coventry and Warwickshire.
TMS Volvo worked with Kandola for the past 18 years, during which time she became a familiar face to Volvo owners in the region.
Her association with the brand extended beyond her professional role.
Her first car was a Volvo 140 and she has owned Volvos continuously since 1984. She currently drives a Volvo XC40.
Colleagues past and present, including former employees from the Volvo Training and Development Centre, attended an event to mark her retirement.
Reflecting on her career, Kandola said: “It’s been a pleasure working at TMS Volvo and with the Volvo brand for so many years.
“There have not been many mornings when I have not wanted to go to work.
“I have truly enjoyed working with my colleagues, as well as chatting with and helping Volvo owners, who are not just customers but have also become very good personal friends outside of work.”
TMS Motor Group said Kandola will remain a welcome visitor to the business following her retirement.
