Thames Motor Group is set to open its first Nissan dealership in Tunbridge Wells, marking a significant expansion for the family-owned dealer group.

The new site, located on the North Farm Industrial Estate, will officially open on March 24 and operate from temporary premises while a permanent state-of-the-art facility is completed.

New Nissan representation

The dealership will offer the full range of Nissan models from launch, alongside a wide selection of used vehicles, as the group enters a new franchise partnership.

A workshop staffed by Nissan-trained technicians will provide servicing and MOT support, with a smart repair bodyshop and electric vehicle charging facilities also available on site.

The location is positioned to serve motorists across Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas including Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Crowborough and Paddock Wood.

Jobs and future investment

The new venture will create a number of jobs, with recruitment ongoing for technicians, service advisors, sales consultants and management roles.

Once development work is complete, the dealership will feature a customer lounge with refreshments, supporting a more modern retail experience.

Customers will also benefit from the site’s proximity to the A21 and nearby retail facilities, improving convenience during servicing visits.

Aligned with Nissan momentum

The launch comes as Nissan continues to perform strongly in the UK market, with the Qashqai and Juke both finishing 2025 among the country’s top five best-selling models.

Recent product developments include the arrival of the new Micra and industry recognition for the latest Leaf, which was named ‘Supreme Winner’ at the 2026 Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year Awards.

Natasha Khanna, director at Thames Motor Group, said: ‘‘We are very excited about our new partnership with Nissan – we’re thrilled to add them to our portfolio of brands.

‘‘At Thames Motor Group, we have a focus on excellent teamwork and a strong commitment to customer care. We know car-buyers expect professionalism, trust and honesty, so our focus on attention to detail means the level of service we deliver is second to none.

‘‘All our team members are treated like family – whether they are related to the Khanna family or not! This commitment to one another makes a happy and cohesive team focused on our customers.’’

Matt Duncan, network development and customer quality director at Nissan, said: ‘‘We are delighted to welcome Thames Motor Group to our network of dealers and we send all those concerned with the new venture in Tunbridge Wells every good wish for the future.

‘‘Nissan and Thames Motor Group will make a formidable team. With award-winning cars and excellent levels of customer service, I’m sure we can look forward to a successful future together.’’
