Subaru has officially announced that a new wave of electric vehicles will be heading to the UK in 2026, with a refreshed line-up led by an updated Solterra, the all-new Uncharted compact SUV, and the rugged E-Outback.

All three models are built on the latest iteration of the e-Subaru Global Platform, offering increased power, longer driving range, and significantly faster charging times.

Marking Subaru’s first all-electric compact SUV, the new Subaru Uncharted is designed to offer both off-road and urban capability with a compact 5.5-metre turning circle and 210mm of ground clearance for versatility across multiple terrains. The Subaru Uncharted is expected to arrive in the UK in early 2026, with full specifications and pricing to be confirmed closer to launch.

Three powertrain options will be available: dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) with a 77kWh battery producing 344PS, 0–62mph in 5.0 seconds, up to 292 miles of range, and 1,500kg towing capacity; long-range front-wheel drive (fwd) using the same 77kWh battery, with a single motor delivering up to 363 miles of range and a standard-range FWD, featuring a smaller 57.7kWh battery, offering a range of up to 276 miles.

All versions will support rapid charging from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

The new Subaru E-Outback is powered by a 74.7kWh battery, it delivers 380PS and accelerates from 0–62mph in just 4.4 seconds, with a range of over 279 miles. Subaru’s signature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is paired with a dual X-MODE terrain selection system and 210mm of ground clearance for off-road capability. It also supports towing up to 1,500kg.

The Subaru E-Outback is scheduled to launch in the UK in summer 2026.

Launched in 2023 as Subaru’s first EV, the Solterra returns for 2026 with major upgrades across design, performance, and technology.

The updated dual e-axle setup now delivers 344PS and 0–62mph in 5.1 seconds. A new 73.1kWh battery provides a range exceeding 310 miles and supports 30-minute rapid charging. Towing capacity has doubled to 1,500kg. The revised Solterra will be available in the UK from early 2026.
