Stanley Street Motors in Lowestoft has ceased trading and its long-standing showroom is now heading to auction.
Established in 1980, the family-run dealershipis now closing due to ill-health and retirement.
In a Facebook message, the team thanked customers, suppliers, and supporters: “Over the years we have had tens of thousands of lovely customers, many of whom became, not just repeat customers, but friends. We will miss you all. Thank you and goodbye.”
The site is being marketed by Auction House East Anglia and will go under the hammer in an online sale on Wednesday, 18 June, with a guide price of £250,000 to £300,000, plus fees.
Described as a former car sales showroom and forecourt with development potential, the freehold property includes a showroom, two offices, a workshop, a presentation suite, kitchen, and cloakroom. The forecourt can accommodate up to 30 vehicles and the site features three-phase electricity and a security alarm system.
The auctioneers note that the site is vacant and ready for a new operator, while also highlighting its potential for redevelopment, subject to planning permission.
