Simon Bailes Peugeot has stepped up to support Northallerton Male Voice Choir (NMVC) by providing a van to help transport the choir’s musical equipment and mobile staging.

The new vehicle will solve long-standing logistical and safety challenges faced by the concert organisers.

NMVC, a North Yorkshire community fixture since its formation in 1968, has grown from four members to nearly 50, performing almost 600 concerts, entertaining audiences while raising significant funds for various causes.

The van was used for the first time during a concert at Bedale & District Methodist Church, where the choir raised £900 for the church.

Sheldon Cockburn, head of operations at Simon Bailes Peugeot, said: “We are thrilled to support Northallerton Male Voice Choir, a group that embodies the spirit of community. This sponsorship reflects our commitment to giving back and helping local initiatives thrive.”

Richard Parkin, secretary of NMVC, added: “The support from Simon Bailes Peugeot has been invaluable. The van enables us to bring music to new venues and reach wider audiences, overcoming previous challenges while raising more funds for charitable causes.”
