Convinced that ongoing changes in society require innovative HR policies addressing family and parental issues, Safran and IndustriAll Europe have signed a groundbreaking European framework agreement to improve family-related work-life balance. With this new agreement, Safran continues to demonstrate its commitment to corporate human and social responsibility.
The agreement reflects a shared determination to respond to changes in society and meet new employee expectations through specific commitments.
These include:
- Parental support: Support for employees before, during and after the arrival of a child, including specific measures for adoption and fertility treatment. These measures may take the form of job accommodations or flexible work hours, for example.
- Workplace flexibility: Adapted work hours, remote work and other work-family balance measures
- Caregiver support: Specific support for employee caregivers in the form of training, days off and flexible work arrangements
- Awareness initiatives: Programs aimed at promoting a positive work environment for parents and caregivers, while also fostering respect for the diversity of family situations.
“This agreement marks a decisive step in positioning Safran as a leading employer of choice, committed to employee wellbeing and attentive to work-life balance,” said Stéphane Dubois, Executive Vice President, Corporate Human and Social Responsibility.
“The framework agreement creates a common core of commitments relating to work-life balance, parental support and financial compensation,” said Isabelle Barthès, Deputy General Secretary, IndustriAll Europe. “It’s an important step forward for Safran employees in Europe. The priority now is to implement the agreement through collective bargaining at the local level.”
