Renault is set to take over London’s iconic Oxford Street this month, bringing French flair to the heart of the capital.

From March 22-30, the high-tech venue at 95 Oxford Street will be transformed into “Maison 5,” where visitors can see three versions of the pure-electric supermini.

The event will feature giant high-definition screens highlighting the Renault 5’s key features and media presenters will be on hand to interact with the public, answering questions and showcasing the Renault 5’s value and appeal.

Renault said it marks the first time an automotive brand has occupied the prime Oxford Street location, which sees an annual footfall of 70 million visitors.

In addition to the car displays, visitors can enjoy live DJ sets mixing London cool with French pop, as well as a merchandise corner celebrating the Renault 5’s 50-year legacy.

David Isherwood, marketing director at Renault UK, said: “The Renault 5 is a pop icon, exuding a unique sense of energy and fun wherever it goes, and we’re eager to share that with as many people as possible. After debuting at St Pancras last year, what better place to bring this cultural icon next than the centre of popular culture itself?”

The Renault 5 E-Tech electric, priced from £22,995, offers range of up to 252 miles on a single charge and can recharge to 80% in just 30 minutes.
