The Peter Cooper Motor Group has introduced Kia’s new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) van range at its Hedge End dealership, marking an expansion into next generation electric light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
The business already represents Kia cars at the site, having taken over Kia Viking two years ago, and will now offer both cargo and passenger variants of the new fully electric PBV line-up.
The Kia PV5 Cargo and Kia PV5 Passenger vans are designed to support a range of retail and fleet applications, combining zero-emissions driving with digital connectivity and flexible interior configurations.
Kia claims a driving range of up to 258 miles, with rapid charging to 80% achievable in approximately 30 minutes using 150kW DC charging. Cargo capacity is up to 4,420 litres, with the platform designed to maximise usable space and support day-to-day operational use.
Darren Cooper, managing director at The Peter Cooper Motor Group, said: “It’s another feather in the company’s cap that the Peter Cooper Motor Group was selected as the sole franchise of the Kia PBV van range in the region.

He added that early response has been strong, with interest expected from both business users and private buyers.
Cooper said: “The feedback has been incredibly positive, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more customers into our Hedge End showroom to experience the new Kia electric van range for themselves.”
He said the breadth of the line-up would appeal across multiple use cases: “There are very few brands that offer an EV van range with this level of diversity.
“Cargo vans, seve-seat passenger vans and many other options mean that the Kia PBV will interest a wide range of customers.
“From £222 per month on contract hire, and qualifying for the current £5,000 Government plug-in van grant available, they are guaranteed to generate a lot of interest for our Hedge End dealerships.”
All models are offered with Kia’s seven-year or 100,000-mile manufacturer warranty.
