MG has introduced the MG4 EV Urban to the UK market, expanding its electric hatchback line-up with a new entry-level model aimed at family buyers and first-time EV customers.
The MG4 EV Urban range starts at £23,495 for the Comfort Standard Range, rising to £25,495 for the Comfort Long Range and £27,995 for the Premium Long Range.
Alongside the Urban launch, MG has refreshed the MG4 EV range for 2026, focusing on improved interior quality, upgraded technology and extended driving range. Prices have also been reduced, with the MG4 EV Premium Long Range now starting from £29,995, £2,750 lower than the outgoing model.
David Allison, director of product and planning at MG Motor UK, said: “Since its launch in 2022 the MG4 EV has been one of the UK’s most popular and admired electric cars with nearly 50,000 sales and 50 major awards and recommendations in the UK; it has proven to be a great-to-drive and distinctively styled hatchback that also helped make EV ownership possible for the many rather than the few.
“Now the MG4 EV is driving ahead again.
“The new MG4 EV Urban reconfirms our brand’s ability to make EV ownership ever-more accessible, offering a family-sized electric available from just £23,495.”
At the top of the new MG4 line-up, the MG4 EV XPOWER remains priced at £33,995 and delivers 320kW of power from a dual-motor all-wheel-drive set-up, making it one of the fastest accelerating cars on sale in the UK.
