A walk held in memory of former ATG, Nissan, Audi and Mercedes-Benz executive Mark Hamilton has raised more than £2,000 for the charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).
Friends and former colleagues of Hamilton, who worked for three decades in the UK’s automotive retail industry, gathered at Windsor for the walk at the end of June, and thanks to generous donations they have raised £2,110, to date, which will support CALM’s efforts to help people in crisis and to combat suicide.
Joanna Ahmet, a friend of his and a former colleague at Audi, said: “What a day walking, reminiscing and remembering our beloved friend Mark.”
She added: “Thank you so much to all those who have donated and helped us raise much needed funds for CALM which will go towards supporting those in crisis.
“It is so important to remove the stigma around discussing mental health issues, please keep talking and checking in on your loved ones and colleagues as you never know what people are dealing with.”
The walk was held on the day that would have been Hamilton’s 58th birthday.

In January friends and family raised the alarm after Hamilton went missing in Windsor, leading to several public appeals by police who were trying to find him.
Sadly his body was found by the police some two weeks later.
During an automotive industry career spanning more than three decades Hamilton had held management roles with Citroen, Peugeot, Nissan, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Autovia and ATG (Automotive Transformation Group).
