Cox Automotive’s Manheim Vehicle Services (MVS) has signed a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) deal with Vindis Group to manage thousands of fleet vehicles across their Volkswagen Group portfolio.

Under this 12-month contract, MVS will use its new PDI facility in Wyton, Cambridgeshire, to handle over 6,500 brand-new vehicles. These services include inspection, storage, and onward distribution, ensuring that Vindis Group fleet customers receive new, road-ready vehicles.

Sam Panayides, sales director at Cox Automotive, said: “Vindis is a premier league dealership group with whom we already have a solid working relationship through Manheim Auction Services. Our PDI centre at Wyton underwent a thorough audit to ensure we could meet their expectations, and I’m pleased to say that we passed with flying colours. With several of the Vindis team on site, this has been a collaborative effort to get over the line.

“I am delighted that we have completed this deal, as Vindis’s unmistakable focus on providing a personal touch and professional service mirrors our approach. Our team has provided exactly the bespoke PDI service Vindis sought, and our feedback so far has been wholly positive.”

Vindis Group, a family-run new and used car dealership established in 1960 by Second World War Czech Spitfire pilot Frank Vindis, operates a network of dealerships across six counties. They represent brands such as Audi, Bentley, Ducati, Skoda, Seat, Cupra, and Volkswagen. Frank’s son Gary serves as chairman, and his grandson Jamie is the managing director.

Jamie Vindis said: “Although we are well acquainted with Manheim and Cox Automotive through our remarketing work, agreeing to have MVS take on this PDI contract was an entirely new direction for us.

“However, I’m delighted to get this deal done as the location, staff, and facilities at MVS Wyton are second to none. Vindis, together with our many fleet customers, will benefit from this new agreement, and we are all very confident it’s the beginning of a long and meaningful partnership with Manheim Vehicle Services.”
