Lexus Cambridge has secured a £1,800 grant from the Lexus Community Fund for Magpas Air Ambulance, a charity that provides critical emergency care across the East of England.

The funding will support the charity’s efforts in delivering CPR skills and upgrading essential equipment such as manikins and defibrillators.

The grant was obtained as part of Lexus Cambridge’s charitable activities, with the dealership nominating Magpas Air Ambulance for the Lexus Community Fund.

This initiative provides small grants to local charities, schools, and community projects. Over the past financial year, the fund has supported numerous causes across the UK, ranging from education to healthcare.

Magpas Air Ambulance operates 24/7, providing life-saving pre-hospital emergency care, both by air and land. Responding to around four calls a day, the charity treats approximately 900 patients annually in life-threatening emergencies.

Chris Simpson, business centre manager at Lexus Cambridge, highlighted the importance of the grant: “Supporting Magpas Air Ambulance was an easy choice for us – its medical team works tirelessly to provide a crucial lifeline for people across the East of England. We’re thrilled to secure this funding and hope it aids in their mission to keep our communities safe.”

Annette Ablewhite, community and events officer at Magpas Air Ambulance, added:”We are delighted to receive this donation, which will enable us to continue delivering vital CPR skills and upgrade key equipment. Lexus Cambridge’s support is invaluable, and we look forward to collaborating with them in the future.”

The Lexus Community Fund is managed by the Toyota GB Charitable Trust, supporting community initiatives across the UK.
