Kia UK will host nationwide First Drive Weekend events for the EV2 from April 16 to June 27 across almost its entire 190-strong dealer network.
The programme will give customers early access to test drive the new fully electric compact SUV ahead of first deliveries later this year.
Events will run from Thursday to Saturday at participating retailers, with limited pre-booked one-hour slots available.
Four EV2 42.2kWh cars will be allocated to each location, allowing up to four simultaneous test drives.
Each appointment will begin with a one-to-one walkaround with a product expert, followed by a 30-minute accompanied test drive on a planned route.
Customers will then be able to continue discussions with the dealership sales team.
Kia said the events are designed to provide structured, in-depth exposure to the EV2 and to support customers considering a move into electric motoring.
Reservations can be made through a dedicated online portal.
At just over four metres long, the EV2 offers up to 362 litres of boot capacity.
Two battery options will be available, 42.2kWh and 61.0kWh, with Kia targeting class-leading range. Built on the 400V E-GMP platform, the model supports DC rapid charging from 10 to 80 per cent in around 30 minutes.
The EV2 introduces features including triple-screen infotainment, over-the-air updates, Digital Key, Plug and Charge capability, vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-grid functionality, and Remote Smart Parking Assist Entry.
Kia said the First Drive Weekend builds on previous electric experience events used to introduce models including the EV3, EV6, EV9 and Niro EV. Last year’s EV4 and EV5 electric events attracted more than 15,000 reservations.
UK pricing and full specifications for the EV2 will be announced shortly, with first customer deliveries expected later in 2026.
