igus (East Providence, RI) introduced the drylin WWP linear guide, a PTFE-free linear guide with a locking carriage for positioning applications. The drylin WWP linear guide provides an alternative to mechanical and electronic linear positioning systems.

Features:

  • Includes polymer carriage and aluminum rail for low-maintenance operation
  • Uses integrated polymer rings and preloaded steel ball for audible locking
  • Withstands static loads up to 100 N vertically and 50 N horizontally
  • Allows repositioning through applied force without levers or electronic components
  • Offers rail lengths up to 3,000 mm with optional anodized finishes
  • Available in two carriage sizes and with optional undrilled rail profiles
  • Reduces weight by up to 65% compared to aluminum carriages
  • Manufactured from high-performance polymer embedded with solid lubricants
  • Contains no external lubrication and is free of approximately 100 PFAS chemicals
  • Meets low-fogging standards for automotive interiors
