Howards Toyota has secured the coveted ‘Gold’ accreditation from the Best Employer in Town (BEiT) programme, marking its success in being a forward-thinking, employee-first business.
Howards is one of only two Toyota dealerships in the UK to secure this status, highlighting its dedication to employee engagement and development.
The BEiT accreditation acknowledges Howards Group’s continuous commitment to its employees, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, and workforce development.
The dealership has worked tirelessly to ensure that every staff member receives the support they need to grow and succeed in their roles. This recognition is a reflection of Howards Toyota’s vision to cultivate an inclusive, empowering, and engaging workplace environment.
Chris Lee, managing director of family-owned and operated Howards Motor Group, said: “Achieving Gold accreditation from BEiT is a testament to the incredible efforts of our team. We believe that the best customer experiences begin with a motivated and well-supported workforce. I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and we will continue to invest in our people to ensure that Howards remains a fantastic place to work.”
A driving force behind this recognition is Howards’ dedication to employee engagement. Over the past two years, in addition to the Toyota Employee Survey, Howards Group has conducted its own comprehensive Employee Engagement Survey to better understand its workforce and improve overall employee satisfaction.
The 2024 survey saw an impressive 83% response rate, reflecting the group’s commitment to listening to its employees and making data-driven improvements.
“Receiving the Gold accreditation is not just about being the ‘Best Employer in Town’”, said Lee, “but also about showing our dedication to listening to our employees, responding to their needs, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.”
Founded in 1972, Howards Motor Group represents 10 brands across Somerset and Dorset.
In 2024, the group also achieved the highest Retailer Group score in the UK for Reputation within the AM100, reflecting positive customer feedback and real-life reviews.
