Harris Group has appointed former group market manager at Mercedes-Benz dealer group Western Commercial, Louise MacPherson, as its new brand marketing manager for Maxus in the UK and Ireland.
MacPherson reports to Andrew Dickinson, who was recently appointed head of marketing at Harris Group.
Her move marks a transition from dealer-level marketing into an OEM-facing role, where she will support the promotion of the expanding Maxus product range, the development of dealer partnerships and the brand’s growing aftersales capability.
She brings more than a decade of marketing experience from the commercial vehicle sector, spanning trucks, vans and aftersales operations.
MacPherson previously led Western Commercial’s marketing strategy, events and sales support across multiple sites in Scotland.
MacPherson said: “Moving into a manufacturer role feels like a natural progression at this stage in my career.
“Harris Maxus is a manufacturer that has built a reputation for reliable products supported by a robust dealer network and aftersales infrastructure.
“The business is on a steep growth trajectory, and I’m excited to help establish the Maxus brand as a major player in the LCV market.”
People culture at Harris Maxus
MacPherson also highlighted the strength of the Harris Maxus leadership team and its approach to inclusive working practices.
“What has struck me in particular is the calibre of people at Harris Maxus,” she said. “There are women established in senior positions, and it’s genuinely refreshing to join a business that values and supports talented women at all levels. That commitment to people, combined with the Maxis product range and the strength of our aftersales offering, creates a really compelling proposition.”
Looking ahead, MacPherson said her initial focus will be on building product knowledge and strengthening dealer relationships across the network.
“I’m eager to develop a deep understanding of the Maxus range by working closely with our sales and aftersales teams, and technical specialists,” she said. “I’m also looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues at dealerships where I’ve worked previously, some of whom now support the Maxus franchise. Together, we can amplify the brand message and help our network showcase everything Harris Maxus has to offer.”
Harris Maxus appointed a new managing director in October last year and has been expanding its dealer network coverage by 25% across the UK with 18 new locations added in 2025.
To deliver its next phase of growth, Harris Maxus UK established a dedicated aftersales leadership team.
New roles are focused on developing strong ties with dealer partners to deliver maximum uptime for customers, with the three new regional aftersales managers on the front line to present the ‘full Maxus experience’.
Maxus said the new national structure provides “clear accountability across fleet, dealer operations, service quality and regional support”.
