Wingrove Motor Company, a family-operated dealership group with a 99-year history, has been acquired by AM100 giant Arnold Clark.
The Wallsend-based business, which operated four sites across the north east, was the region’s largest family-owned motor business.
Founded in 1925 by Newcastle cattle auctioneer John Myers Dalkin, its operations included showrooms in Silverlink, North Tyneside, and Fenham, Newcastle, a body shop in Cramlington, and a prep centre near Shiremoor, North Tyneside.
