An experienced dealer group leader, who has previously overseen dozens of dealerships for AM100 groups Inchcape and Pendragon, has joined Lookers as its new managing director.

Lookers’ owner Global Automotive Holdings has recruited James Brearley to lead the 140+ site UK dealer group.

Brearley has joined from Peter Vardy, where he became chief operating officer in 2023 after leaving the chief executive post at Inchcape Retail UK in late 2021.

Prior to that, he had been managing director of Pendragon’s premium brand division, Stratstone, for almost decade.
