Eden Motor Group has acquired the Mazda franchise in Newbury from MotorLux, strengthening its partnership with the brand in the Thames Valley.
The multi-franchise dealer group has relocated sales and aftersales operations to a dedicated showroom alongside its Vauxhall dealership in the Berkshire town.
The site opened to customers on February 3.
Eden now represents Mazda across four locations, with existing dealerships in Basingstoke, Reading and Taunton.
Commenting on the acquisition, Graeme Potts, chief executive of Eden Motor Group, said: “This purchase enables us to scale our presence in the Thames Valley with Mazda, a brand we have represented since 2013.

Jeremy Thomson, managing director of Mazda Motors UK, said: “This acquisition will generate incremental sales and aftersales in Eden’s Thames Valley heartland.
“Eden’s strategic commitment to grow with Mazda follows a positive 2025 for the brand with sales up 1.5% to 31,443 units, outperforming many of our competitors.
“We anticipate further growth in 2026 with a strong order bank going into the March plate change and with three new car introductions, Mazda CX-5, Mazda 6e and Mazda CX-6e, in the second half; the most we have ever launched in a single year.”
Mazda currently operates a 116 strong UK dealer network and said it continues to grow its representation with both existing and new partners, with another new showroom to be announced shortly.
