DS Automobiles has revealed its new naming strategy ahead of unveiling its all-electric DS N°8.
The DS N°8, set to become the flagship of the brand, marks the beginning of a new electric era for DS Automobiles based on the STLA Medium architecture and offering a range of up to 466 miles (750 km).
The approach introduces the diamond-tipped ‘N°’ prefix, a nod to the French abbreviation for “number” which will be adopted across all future DS Automobiles models, with numbers representing the size and segment of each vehicle.
The model will feature the ‘N°8’ badge prominently on the rear, alongside the full ‘DS AUTOMOBILES’ name to distinguish the brand from the vehicle.
DS Automobiles also offered a glimpse of the DS N°8’s interior, unveiling a yacht-inspired dashboard design, integrating high-end ambient lighting and Focal sound systems, and the use of premium materials.
“The DS N°8 represents a bold step forward for DS Automobiles, symbolising the transition to a fully electric future while maintaining our commitment to luxury and innovation,” the company said.
Features include a new four-spoke steering wheel with integrated buttons, digital cockpit with an ultra-wide infotainment display and floating centre tunnel.
