Carwow has expanded its platform to allow retailers to advertise both new and used vans, commercial 4x4s, pick-ups, and other light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Retailers have been able to source used vans via Carwow’s daily online auctions since October 2023. Now, in response to growing demand from both buyers and sellers, Carwow is enhancing its LCV offering by introducing advertising capabilities for new and used vans across its platforms.
Buyers will be able to configure and order new vans using Carwow’s configurator, while stock will be searchable through the existing Carwow and Auto Express listings. A dedicated landing page for vans will also be populated via a direct feed from retailers or through manual stock list uploads.
According to Carwow’s insights, 87% of van buyers now research their next vehicle online, and that interest in vans has grown significantly across the Carwow Group, with van review content reaching 1.4 million views in 2024.
Alastair White, commercial director – OEM & media at Carwow, said: “The van market is a significant contributor to revenues for many OEMs and retailers, and we’ve listened to requests to extend our offering to support the promotion and sale of vans in the same way we have with cars. Carwow is synonymous with a positive car-changing experience, and we aim to extend that sentiment to the van market by driving high-quality enquiries directly to retailers from our millions of visitors every month.
“We had 1.4 million views of our van content last year, a number that is set to grow rapidly through our investment in van editorial content and marketing. We know that one in three van buyers comes to the platform undecided between buying a new or used product. Now, van buyers are able to configure and compare new or used LCVs on Carwow and Auto Express, and we will connect them directly to the retailer without them ever having to leave the site.”
